Several members of Four States SAR participated in the search
for victims of the Albert Pike Flood June 12th and 13th. This hit
very close to home for our team, most of whom had spent happy
vacation times at the park throughout the years. One of our
members searching knew some of the victims, and worked
tirelessly with an especially heavy heart, determined to bring
closure to the families.
It is a tragedy that no one wants to experience as a searcher, but
one which we were glad to be able to assist in. Our hearts and
prayers go out to all the families and friends who lost loved ones.
This is one search that certainly will stay with us forever.
Our appreciation to Virginia Canine Response Team who had
several canine teams training in Little Rock with one of our
members and joined us in this search.

CASS COUNTY LIFE Search and Rescue... Dogs, their humans put in a lot of work to train for successful missions
A nice article about the Four States Search & Rescue appearing in the Cass County Life section of the Texarkana Gazette on February 2, 2011.
Reporter Neil Abeles was driving by and noticed the dogs training. He stopped and decided the team would be of interest to the community.
